Excel Plus Index UL
Excel Plus Index UL is flexible premium equity indexed universal life insurance policy issued by Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. It is designed to offer you life insurance protection and growth potential based, in part, on the performance of external equity index. While your policy’s account value has the potential to increase based on changes in the external index, it is guaranteed never to decrease due to market volatility or the performance of the index.

Excel Index UL can provide affordable life insurance protection for your family or business. The death benefit is typically payable to beneficiaries tax free to help meet the needs of those you leave behind.
Accumulation Potential
You may choose to have the interest earned linked to the performance of any combination of the following:
- S&P 500® Index
- Russell 2000® Index
- MSCI EAFE® Index
Keep in mind, you’re not actually participating in the market or investing in any stock or bond, and will not receive dividends.
You can also choose to have the account value of your policy earn a fixed interest rate. The fixed interest rate is declared and guaranteed by Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. The rate reflects current economic conditions and is guaranteed never to be lower than the fixed account 2% guaranteed minimum interest rate.
Tax Deferred Growth
Any earnings grow tax-deferred so your money can work for you over the long term. Over time, you can borrow from or withdraw from your policy to use the value you’ve accumulated to help pay for college expenses, to supplement your retirement income or for other long-term financial goals.
Withdrawals and loans will reduce available death benefit and policy value. Withdrawals beyond basis may be taxable income. Excessive and unpaid loans will reduce death benefits and policy value and may cause the policy to lapse.
